Warts (Verruca)
Warts are derived from the Papova Virus. They reside in the skin and are most commonly found on the bottom of a patient’s feet. They spread through direct contact (they are contagious), and can multiply and penetrate deeply into the skin.
There are many treatments that are used to eliminate warts. Topical chemical agents used in conjunction with sharp sterile debridement (scraping) performed by a doctor is a simple was to treat warts. Other treatments include cryotherapy (freezing), excision and cauterization.
