Foot Odor
Foot odor is caused by the bacterial decomposition of excessive perspiration on the soles of the feet and between the toes. Foot odor can also have a fungal origin, or can come from a mixture of bacteria and fungus. The warm, moist, dark environment inside your shoes promotes fungal and bacterial growth.
The treatment of foot odor is directed at controlling excessive sweating, and includes daily use of foot powder and sprays. Changing socks mid-day can help keep feet dry. When fungal infections are present, topical anti-fungal creams are also used. The latest treatment program also uses a Steri-Shoe to sterlize the actual shoes you wear. Steri-Shoes eradicate both shoe fungus and bacteria. To find out more about how the Steri-Shoe works, watch this video. The apparatus is available for sale in both office locations.
