Athlete's Foot
(Tinea Pedis)
Athlete’s Foot is an itchy skin rash that commonly resides on the bottom of a patient’s foot, or between their toes. The “dry” type of Athlete’s Foot is associated with cracked, peeling skin; the “wet” variety has fluid-filled areas that are usually red and blotchy.
Treatment involves the use of a topical antifungal cream. Vinegar soaks can also be helpful in treating the “dry” type of Athlete’s Foot. In more severe cases, oral medication might be needed to supplement the topical regimen.
